STOP DIVIDING & START PRACTICING!

One ummah! Are we one ummah or do we just pretend on the surface to be one family, affected by nothing happening to our brothers and sisters all over the world?

It indeed feels like a sad state of affairs when only a part of the entire Muslim community identifies and acknowledges the pain and suffering of our brethren. Most of us have become so lost in our own lives that we forget to care for our very own brothers and sisters in Islam, and otherwise.

The sufferings of our ummah aren’t hidden. Imagine the plight of our own ummah, young and old, being crushed in Gaza; not just our ummah, but humanity in general. We know the state of women and young girls in Afghanistan. We know the state of our family in Egypt. We know the Yemen and Libyan unrests and how people, our own kind, are being killed and slaughtered. We know about what is happening in Bahrain. We know how massive the Japan earthquake and tsunami was. We know about the awaited nuclear disaster. We know! We know! Yet we choose to put all this in a safe locker inside our brains.

Do we not realize the gravity of these situations?

We talk about it, have heated discussions over it and the next moment go back to living our normal lives normally.

How many of us have forgotten the innocent Dr. Afia Siddiqua who is imprisoned for no fault of hers? What about Sheikh Anwar-al-awlaki who is charged with spreading terrorism when he is only doing his work of spreading a peace loving religion?

In today’s generation, we join a facebook page which says ‘free Dr. Afia and show our support to the world. We like the page which says ‘Free Gaza’ and assume our work to be done. But that’s the support shown to the world. Have we ever considered our heart’s affairs with regards to such issues inflicting our ummah?

It’s high time we shake and rake our hearts for good. It’s time we aim for a lifelong impact. The time where we aren’t affected by such happenings for only a few minutes or a few hours and show our outwardly support only.

Let us not divide ourselves based on geographical latitudes and longitudes.

Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam is reported to have said (giving an example of the Muslim unity) in a hadith: “The Muslim ummah is like one body. If the eye is in pain then the whole body is in pain and if the head is in pain then the whole body is in pain.”

We the Muslim ummah, whatever colour, nationality or gender, wherever we are, are like this body. If we hear that any part of this ummah is being oppressed, then we should feel this pain.

The messenger of Allah sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam also said,

“The believers, in their love, mutual kindness, and close ties, are like one body; when any part complains, the whole body responds to it with weakfulness and fever”. (Muslim)

We should try our best to act upon this Hadith.

What can we do?

Well, apart from liking pages and links to show our support, make efforts to include the entire ummah and the problems being faced by the ummah in our duas and prayers daily. We shouldn’t forget that we’re the ummah of the last messenger, the last prophet, the one and only Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam.

Let us join hands and pray and do our bit in whatever way we can to free our ummah, ourselves, from the pain, the suffering, and the evils being inflicted on us. Let us come out of being the most targeted group in the world. Let’s strive towards regaining the reverence for our religion, the love we had for our religion once upon a time, the way we were feared by our enemies! One body, one soul, one ummah!

IT'S TIME FOR MUSLIM UMMAH TO UNITE

There are more than 50 Muslim countries In the World and total Muslim population is almost touching 2 billion. Islam is fastest growing religion of the world. Arab countries are filled with Oil. all types of resources are available in Muslim countries. despite all these facts Muslim Ummah is badly suffering today. Just take the recent example of Israel attack on Gaza. Israel is a small countries which attacked and killed 2000 Innocent Palestinians and all the Muslim Ummah kept on seeing Instead of taking any action against Israel.

from Afghanistan to Iraq and from Syria to Palestine Muslims are facing occupations, humiliation and unrest. in 1400 years history of this Ummah from last few centuries we are in our worst period right now. There was a time when we ruled the world. When we were ahead than West In Science and education. but today everything is opposite.

So why this is happening with us. First of all we ourselves are responsible for this. we are not united. we have stopped following Quran and Sunnah. we have stopped gaining the knowledge. we are divided into sects and Nationalism. secondly our enemies are also trying hard to make the things worse and worse for us by doing conspiracies.

Remember the Hadith of our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW:

The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, fellow-feeling is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever. [Muslim]

Muslim Ummah should be like one body. When one Muslim is in pain in one corner of the world the other in other corner should feel the pain and help him. Loving our country is natural but Nationalism should not overcome the Ummah. Islam is above country. we should also not be divided on basis of Sectarianism. Quran clearly teaches us to not be divided into sects. the solution to overcome sectarianism is following Quran and Sunnah.

we should also be ready to respond to the conspiracies of our enemies. they want to divide and conquer us. we should start gaining knowledge and make progress in different fields of life Including media. we have all types of resources available which are needed to be utilized in right way.

Democracy or martial law will not solve our problems. our struggle should be for Khilafah and establishing the system of Islam.

THE UMMAH UNDER SIEGE - MASJIDUL AQSA

Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala informs us in verse 73 of Surah Al-Anfal:

"The enemies of Islam are protectors of one another: Unless you protect one another, there will be tumult, oppression and turbulance on earth."

Yes, they are indeed protectors of one another. Allah forbid, I honestly and truly do not incite hatred, but merely want to make you aware of the facts that are unfolding right before our very eyes and humbly ask that all of us assess the realities of the ongoing situation confronting the Muslim Ummah all over the world. Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala by way of the Most Glorious and Holy Qur'an teaches us what we, as an Ummah should do to avoid the snares and pitfalls that are being laid for us by the enemies of His Deen and the enemies of His Beloved Nabee Muhammad Ibn Abdullah Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam.

The manner in which the Most Holy Qur'an educates us is truly amazing. Sometimes it speaks to us directly, sometimes it teaches us by way of our own experiences and sometimes it places us in direct confrontation with our avowed enemies. We are all aware of the ongoing atrocities being committed by the zionist authorities in Palestine and the grave danger facing our Beloved Masjid-ul-Aqsa - first Qibla of the Muslims.

International opinion as manifested in the United Nations will once again be willfully ignored by the unrepentant zionists and their supporters who maintain that the daily killings of Palestinians are justified because the lives of the heavily armed zionist soldiers are being threatened by stone throwing Palestinian youths. However, this is not the time to comment on the Kuffar controlled United Nations and its one sided role when it comes to dealing with or protecting innocent Muslim lives.

What I would like to bring to your attention is that there appears to be an obvious parallel for comparison. In India, the Babri Masjid has been coveted, desecrated and burned down to the ground by an extreme sect of racist Hindus who claim that the Mosque stood on the site of the temple of Rama. We can see the similarity between the two claims. The Jews claim that Masjid-ul-Aqsa is built on the site of the temple of Solomon, and, the Hindus say that the Babri Masjid is on the site of the temple of Rama. After a great deal of research it is extremely doubtful that the idol god that the Hindus refer to as Rama ever existed as an historical personage. The situation with Masjid-ul-Aqsa is very much the same when we study the history of the area.

What we Muslims are now concerned with is why Muslim heritage of historical and sacred places of worship in particular are now under siege by the avowed enemies of Islam . Why has Muslim life become so cheap and the shedding of innocent Muslim blood an everyday occurance? Why is it that the honour of Muslims is so easily violated without any one blinking an eyelid to bring this madness to an end?

The parallel between the claims of the zionists and the Hindus should be the motivation to shock us into the realization of what we will face the world over and that is something we all have to take stock of right now.

There is a Hadith in which is enshrined a prophecy of our Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam when he envisaged a time when other nations will conspire together against the Muslim Ummah and converge on them like hungry wolves sensing the feebleness of their prey. Then one of the Sahaba asked:

"O Rasoolullah! Are we going to be fewer in numbers at that time?"

Our Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam replied:

"No! you will be like the froth which surfaces on the surface of the water at the time of a flood....of no endurance...of no value...and of no consequence or effect. And Almighty Allah Azza Wajjal will remove from them the fear of you and He will instill in your hearts 'Wahn'.

Then one of the Sahaba asked: "O Rasoolullah! what is meant by Al-Wahn?"

Replied our Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam:

"When my Ummah will love the material life more than the life of the Aghirah."

Indeed, it is just natural to love life and to fear death, but what our Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam meant by this was that a time will come when his Ummah will be so engrossed in pursuit of name and fame, amassing material wealth and the joys of the Dunya that they will forget that they are going to die some day. There are those who will not care to sacrifice all the values, all the noble and wholesome things that Rahmathul Liel Ala'meen has decreed for us. People will be mainly concerned with their bellies and their greatest desires will be the consumption of food. Their minds will be obsessed with their wealth, position, status and honour and their religion will be of what they possess in terms of money and material wealth. Almighty Allah Azza Wajjal reminds us that amassing wealth will occupy those people up to the moment when they are actually laid in their Qabars in verse 1 to 8 in Surah At-Takathur:

"The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things). Until you visit the graves. But nay, you shall soon know (the reality). Again, you shall soon know with certainty of mind, (you beware) you shall certainly see the fire of Jahannum" Again you shall see it with certainty of sight. Then, shall you be questioned that Day about the joys that you indulged in."

Mankind may be engrossed in the joys and luxuries of the worldly life till death approaches, then he looks back on a wasted life, insofar as provision for the Akhirah is concerned. It means to hate death and to forget it as if one was going to live forever, as if there is no day when we will meet our Glorious Creator and Sustainer to give an account of our actions. If we are all honest with ourselves, this is the state of our lives and this, my beloved brothers and sisters is reality.

The avowed enemies of Islam have openly acknowledged their intense hatred for the Ummah. They are not shy, ashamed or scared of asserting and reiterating their hatred. They brazenly admit to their evil plans of wanting to demolish Masjid-ul-Aqsa and erecting in its place what they claim to be the Temple of Solomon. This has been announced, it has been declared, and it is the strategy and the policy of the zionists since Al-Quds was stolen from its inhabitants and handed to the Jews of the world. The Most Holy and Glorious Qur'an teaches us a great deal about the murder, oppression, repression, subjugation and humiliating others and is by no means a new characteristic of the Bani Isra'eel of today. The Glorious Qur'an confirms their brutality, about their hard and stony hearts, about their eagerness to spread corruption, and their labours and artifices to start and maintain wars.

Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala has confirmed all these facts to us in the Most Holy and Glorious Qur'an, but do we read it with an open mind? If we all try to read the Most Holy Qur'an with understanding and not just with our lips, we may learn to anticipate the injustices that lies in store for all of us. Rest assured my beloved brothers and sisters: these events are not new, but, what is new are the circumstances, the situations under which we as Muslims are going through at this particular juncture in the history of our nation. Our enemies have succeeded in a strategy of pitting us at each others throats. They have succeeded in drawing us to a wrong battle in the wrong place for wrong reasons.

Unfortunately, we allow ourselves to be led by the nose. We are undermined and influenced by others whom we consider friends. Our ideas, our policies, our minds and our directions are shaped by the policies and interests of our enemies. It has never happened before that Muslims were slaughtered in the holy precincts of a Masjid. Yes indeed - these are indeed very sad and tragic times for the Ummah of Almighty Allah's Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam. But, it is not too late because if we truly call ourselves Muslims, we may still be able to repair the damage.

Masjid-ul-Aqsa is no less important than Al-Baitul Haram in Makkah and this is gleaned from the Most Holy and Glorious Qur'an and from a statement of our Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam. As Muslims, we have to awake from our deep slumber and try to think as Muslims, and believe me, if that thought is ever triggered in our hearts and minds, a way to stop the rot in Al-Quds will Insha'Allah be found. With regard to Masjid-ul-Aqsa, Rahmathul Liel Ala'meen said referring to the Meraj - the night journey of our Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam in verse 1 of Surah Bani Isra'eel:

"Glory to Allah Who did take His servant for a journey by night, from the Sacred Mosque (Al-Kaaba) to the furthest Mosque (Al-Aqsa), whose precincts We did bless - in order that We may show him some of Our Signs. For He is the One that hears and sees (all things)."

So, we can see, both Mosques are spoken off as Blessed Shrines and Holy places for the Ummah of Almighty Allah's Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam. It is not without purpose, or without reason that the Meraj of our Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam that the two Mosques were combined. Almighty Allah in His Plan, and His Wisdom always invites us to reflect and to contemplate on the lessons from anything that He institutionalizes for us. Our Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam in one of his statements recounting those places which a Muslim should visit as a religious rite, named Masjid-ul-Haram in Makka, Masjid-un-Nabawi in Madinah and Masjid-ul-Aqsa in Al-Quds. We learn from this statement that our Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam placed these three Holy sites with great importance..

Resolution of the status of Al-Quds is very serious and only Almighty Allah Azza Wajjal knows what grand design for this Noble and Holy Sanctuary and the area is being contemplated by those who by sheer strength of armaments and weapons of mass destruction and technological superiority wish to impose on Muslims a 'fait accompli'. One thing however is certain, the zionists and their supporters are determined to demolish every vestige of Islamic civilization in the area. These enemies of Islam plot and plan and Almighty Allah too plans and Allah is the Best of Planners.

Let us ask ourselves the one big question. If anyone dares to desecrate Masjid-ul-Aqsa, what will stop them from desecrating Al-Baitul Haram or Masjid-un-Nabawi? If on the other hand, we let the True Spirit of Islam penetrate the innermost recesses of our hearts, it will Insha'Allah be sufficient to get rid of the Muslim leadership who continue to serve their lords, their masters and their protectors in Washington and Whitehall. We should not delude ourselves that the West is trying to prevent the spillage of Muslim blood. Nor should we fall into the trap in acknowledging that all of us are after all only 'bloody Muslim terrorists' in their opinion.

The London "Daily Express" recently published an article by a journalist who asked: "Who are these Muslims anyway, they are not worth the sacrifice of one single European or American soldier. We must annihilate them in a fight to protect our lifestyle". That is exactly what most of them think and this, my dear brothers and sisters, is the true fact that we Muslims have to remember. They are not in our midst to protect or maintain equity nor because they respect any of us. They are there because they want to protect their own interest.

Our interests as Muslims is to hasten and try to minimize the damage which has already taken place and open our hearts and minds to Almighty Allah's Grace and Blessings. As Muslims we should not despair and admit to weakness for that is only an excuse to do nothing. Let us pray in the words of the Most Holy and Glorious Qur'an as shown to us in verse 5 of Surah Al-Mumtahana:

"Our Allah! Make us not a test and trial for the unbelievers, but forgive us, Our Allah! For Thou are the Exalted in Might, The Wise."

Islam is the Din of Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala and can never ever be extinguished. Islamic ideology is alive and it is this truth that is having an unbearable effect of the enemies of Almighty Allah who are slowly but surely being driven to great despair. The Muslim nation must march on and strive without fear, sacrificing everything to regain our lost heritage. Let us honour our obligations as true Muslims and carefully differentiate between what is tolerance and what is neglect and be steadfast and sincere in striving for Almighty Allah's Cause so that He may be pleased with us and grant us success over our enemies.

"O you who believe! Persevere and be patient, Hold fast and strengthen each other, and be God-fearing, so that you may prosper."

WHEN ALL THE MUSLIMS FOLLOW ONE & THE SAME QURAN THEN WHY ARE THERE SO MANY SECTS & DIFFERENT SCHOOLS OF THOUGHTS AMONG MUSLIMS

COMPLETE ANSWER BY #DRZAKIRNAIK

1. Muslims Should be United
It is a fact that Muslims today, are divided amongst themselves. The tragedy is that such divisions are not endorsed by Islam at all. Islam believes in fostering unity amongst its followers. The Glorious Qur’an says: “And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves;” [Al-Qur’an 3:103] Which is the rope of Allah that is being referred to in this verse? It is the Glorious Qur’an. The Glorious Qur’an is the rope of Allah which all Muslims should hold fast together. There is double emphasis in this verse. Besides saying ‘hold fast all together’ it also says, ‘be not divided’. Qur’an further says, “Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger” [Al-Qur’an 4:59] All the Muslim should follow the Qur’an and authentic ahadith and be not divided among themselves.

2. It is Prohibited to make sects and divisions in Islam
The Glorious Qur’an says: “As for those who divide Their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: Their affair is with Allah: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did.” [Al-Qur’an 6:159] In this verse Allah (swt) says that one should disassociate oneself from those who divide their religion and break it up into sects. But when one asks a Muslim, “who are you?”, the common answer is either ‘I am a Sunni, or ‘I am Shia’. Some call themselves Hanafi, or Shafi or Maliki or Hambali. Some say ‘I am a Deobandi’, while some others say ‘I am a Barelvi’.

3. Our Prophet was a Muslim
One may ask such Muslims, “Who was our beloved prophet (pbuh)? Was he a
Hanafi or a Shafi, or a Humbali or a Maliki?” No! He was a Muslim, like all the
other prophets and messengers of Allah before him.
It is mentioned in chapter 3 verse 52 of Al-Qur’an thatJesus (pbuh) was a Muslim.
Further, in chapter 3 verse 67, Al-Qur’an says thatIbrahim (pbuh) was not a
Jew or a Christian but was a Muslim.

4. Qur’an says call yourselves Muslim

a. If anyone poses a Muslim the question who are you, he should say “I am a MUSLIM, not a Hanafi or a Shafi”. Surah Fussilat chapter 41 verse 33 says “Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to Allah, works righteousness, and says, ‘I am of those Who bow in Islam (Muslim)?’ ” [Al-Qur’an 41:33] The Qur’an says“Say I am of those who bow in Islam”. In other words, say, “I am a Muslim”.

b. The Prophet (pbuh) dictated letters to non-Muslim kings and rulers inviting
them to accept Islam. In these letters he mentioned the verse of the Qur’an
from Surah Ali Imran chapter 3 verse 64: Say ye: “Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah’s Will).”
[Al-Qur’an 3:64]

5. Respect all the Great Scholars of Islam
We must respect all the great scholars of Islam, including the four Imaams, Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Shafi, Imam Humbal and Imam Malik (may Allah be pleased with them all). They were great scholars and may Allah reward them for their research and hardwork. One can have no objection if someone agrees with the views and research of Imam Abu Hanifa or Imam Shafi, etc. But when posed a question, ‘who are you?’, the reply should only be ‘I am a Muslim’.

Some may argue by quoting the hadith of our beloved Prophet from Sunan Abu Dawood Hadith No. 4579. In this hadith the prophet (pbuh) is reported to have said,“My community will be split up into seventy-three sects.” This hadith reports that the prophet predicted the emergence of seventy-three sects. He did not say that Muslims should be active in dividing themselves into sects. The Glorious Qur’an commands us not to create sects. Those who follow the teachings of the Qur’an and Sahih Hadith, and do not create sects are the people who are on the true path. According to Tirmidhi Hadith No. 171, the prophet (pbuh) is reported to have said, “My Umma will be fragmented into seventy-three sects, and all of them will be in Hell fire except one sect.” The companions asked Allah’s messenger which group that would be. Where upon he replied, “It is the one to which I and my companions belong.” The Glorious Qur’an mentions in several verses, “Obey Allah and obey His Messenger”. A true Muslim should only follow the Glorious Qur’an and the Sahih Hadith. He can agree with the views of any scholar as long as they conform to the teachings of the Qur’an and Sahih Hadith. If such views go against the Word of Allah, or the Sunnah of His Prophet, then they carry no weight, regardless of how learned the scholar might be. If only all Muslims read the Qur’an with understanding and adhere to Sahih Hadith, In sha Allah most of these differences would be solved and we could be one united Muslim Ummah.
